Whale Watchers Prints

On a trip to my home state of Hawaii a few years ago, I convinced my wife to come out on a paddle board with me around the cove where we were staying. It was her first time on a stand up paddle board so I paddled and she sat on the board with me. It was mid whale season and we ended up spotting a few humpback whales very nearby. We both sat awestruck as a whale calf breached fully out of the water next to its mother, just as she popped her massive head above the surface. They were not more than 20 yards away from us. We felt both floored and also a bit freaked out at the same time! Being so close to that much raw power was exhilarating and slightly terrifying. Needless to say I told my wife she could retire from paddleboarding after that. I mean how would you ever top an experience like that?!
